CREATING A TIMELESS KITCHEN

“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”

We collaborated with Kohler Canada to create this stunning Contemporary Kitchen designed by Jamie Banfield Design and hand crafted by The Banfield. We think it’s time to give you a walkthrough of this contemporary kitchen which showcases the best of Kohler, Kallista, and The Banfield.

Lets start with the cabinets: we used a blended walnut and white oak with a flat face door to give you the ultimate contemporary detail. We added different finishes from the stainless steel and grey matte paint, to different cabinet which only adds to the design. All the cabinets door are soft close and we used an electric lift system so they open and close at the touch of a button! With the counter we went with a 3/4” Cambria stone top half waterfall and continued it on the back backsplash.

For the plumbing, two opposite style faucets were used such as Unlacquered Brass finish for the faucet on the island and a Chrome finish on the other.

Sinks do not need to match; we mixed up the size, shape and finish for both function and looks. Yes, there are two different sinks for this kitchen: a small bar sink for the middle island to maximize prep and cooking space, and we went with a bigger stainless steel kitchen sink to be the main sink in the kitchen. It has a beautiful angular shape and beveled basin. We love how seamless these both look when they are undermounted.
