The shaker-style cabinets combine both traditional and modern design elements; raised-panel doors and classic moulding provide a traditional look while the black hardware gives the cabinets a modern twist and makes them stand out in the kitchen. Shiplap on the walls and ceiling is the perfect way to layer charm to the space and give it a cozy, homey feel. Shiplap adds texture and depth to the space, drawing the eye up to the vaulted ceiling. By painting it white, the space remains bright and cohesive with the rest of the kitchen. A herringbone pattern floor tile adds a touch of dimension and sophistication to the space and plays off with the same shape and scale as the herringbone patterned hardwood flooring.
