The Jamie Banfield Design Inc. team is growing and we are looking to add a an innovative business development team members that is renowned for their accountability and approachable style and passion for crafting solutions for our diverse clients across Western Canada and their residential design needs to join #teamJBD.

The role functions as a member of the sales team and is responsible for client acquisition and authentic relationship management, detailed market analysts and forward thinking strategy development, brand ambassadorship and accountable performance tracking. It is important that the successful candidates maintain excellent client and vendors relationships, have clear communication skills and the ability to be self-motivated and self-managed while working in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for an outstanding Business Development team member that brings the experiences of:

  1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Actively seek out and engage prospective clients through various channels. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.

  2. Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and emerging trends in residential architecture and design. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

  3. Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings. Promote our unique design philosophy and services, enhancing brand visibility and reputation.

  4. Collaborative Project Development: Work closely with the design team to ensure client requirements are accurately captured and reflected in project proposals. Facilitate a seamless transition from initial sale to project commencement.

  5. Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

 All successful outstanding candidates much hold and live for:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the architectural, interior design, or related industries.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to travel across Western Canada for client meetings and events.

  • Strong understanding of the residential design market and client needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proficiency in CRM software.

  • You have a sharp eye for detail and creativity.

  • Has a passion for sales.

  • You are patient and understandings of working under time constraints.

  • A strong problem solver that stays organized and productive.

  • Hold a high level of organization while being focused on the details.

  • Goal and deadline orientated.

  • Customer service genius.

  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Has amazing communication skills and not scared to pick up the phone over sending an email.

  • Has a proven ability to self-motivate and be a self-start.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including email, spreadsheets and databases.

  • Has a valid BC drivers licence.

Compensation range:

  • $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 CAD salary.
