As a Design Manager at JBD, my daily role involves collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and trades to actualize each client's unique vision. This process entails understanding their budget constraints, family dynamics, and lifestyle. My strength lies in shaping a vision that resonates with the client, achieved by attentive listening, grasping their style, and considering their daily life. The ultimate aim is to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally fit their needs. More than just selecting finishes, it often feels like deciphering the unspoken needs of our clients, reminding us that our designs are exclusively tailored for them. Interior design allows me to interact with diverse individuals and families, creating bespoke spaces for them.
What I cherish most in my job is the opportunity to transform each house into a unique, non-cookie-cutter home, focusing on the fine details. I excel in specifying, seeking out innovative products and understanding their integration and functionality in a space. Reaching this stage of a project is an achievement and a testament to my creative prowess.
At JBD, our ethos is constant innovation and thinking outside the box. Our youth and fresh perspective set us apart from typical design firms, as we avoid repeating designs. Each client receives a personalized design narrative, which adds to the creative fulfillment of tailoring every project specifically. We embrace new challenges and experimentation in our quest for knowledge.
My passion for design was evident as early as the 6th grade, often rearranging furniture at home and even repainting my grandparents' old credenza. In high school, I balanced Commerce Accounting with Fine Arts, but it was in the 11th grade that I fully committed to a creative career. After earning a degree in Interior Design from LaSalle College, I am currently pursuing my Masters in Interior and Industrial Design. This advanced study not only enhances my knowledge but also aligns with my belief that mastery in one area complements and enriches the other.
